Summary Description

The ‘big house’ in Pendoylan, Hensol Castle, was built for David Jenkins, a Royalist Judge in C17. It was later bought by William talbot who added two wings making it among the earliest examples of neo-Gothic. The most successful vineyard in Wales is at Llanerch is to the north of the village.
