Summary Description

Newcastle Emlyn was the chief town in the commote of Emlyn Uwch Cuch, the original castle was at Cilgerran. Three Jones brothers, brought up on a farm on the edge of the town have played a significant part in the history of the Eisteddfod. One has won the chair and crown once and the crown twice, another won the chair once and the other the crown once.
