Summary Description

Llanwnnen is a village at a cross roads extending over the basin of the River Grannel. It was one of the strong holds of the Unitarian church in Cardiganshire resulting in the Tractarians describing the area as ‘ y spotyn du’ the black spot, a description the Unitarians took as a badge of honour.
